SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regard to the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result sassa of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The company level designed for intervention activities a significant inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the read more servicing of all consumers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
